The Minuto de Dios neighborhood was designed in the 50’s to be shared under the premise of brotherhood and community.
The university was founded with the same intentions. However, little by little, it has been losing this sense of community becoming increasingly alien to the inhabitants of the neighborhood and their needs.
Due to its lack of defined campus, the university has been invading the neighborhood. Expelling the founding inhabitants and breaking the original residential use of the houses with offices that make the area feel uninhabited on weekends and overcrowded during the week.
The project seeks to reclaim the university by creating a place that belongs to the institution but is at the service of the entire community, seeking to articulate the various actors in the area within a space that recovers the social character of the neighborhood.

The traditional block configuration does not allow pedestrians to walk freely through the neighborhood. This reinforces the alienating sensation from the institution toward the natural inhabitants of the area.
